Train Your Brain To Crave Natural Sugar

Eating regular, refined sugar can cause many health problems, from gut disturbances, weakened immunity, aging, even high cholesterol levels. Its sugar that makes us fat as well worse than any other food. I've come up with some tips to help:
•Eat fruit throughout the day, in place of table sugar.
I've been trying this for a few weeks. I'll eat fruit two to three times a day, my favorite fruit, and it helps reprogram my brain to crave it instead of candy, desserts, etc. Go on Pinterest . Look at pics of fruit, it can really get you excited when you think of fruit to use in smoothies, fruit ice cream, sorbet, fruit salads.
•Eat one serving of sugar a day planned out in advance.
This concept works well, and you have something to look forward to. Example would be to have a small serving of ice cream, or a few cookies, slice of pie or cake. I like to do mine a few hours after dinner. Then go back later to eat fruit.
What are the benefits?
You crave sugar less. It's true, and it also helps to exercise daily, this curbs cravings as well. If you get used to going to fruit for something sweet, that is the way its supposed to be, so your body responds well to it. When I'm stuck in a sugar binge, I want more and more of it. Once you come off of that, everything stabilizes, and you crave natural sugar instead.
As far as healthy sweeteners go, avoid artificial ones, they are toxic to the body. Avoid also Agave nectar. Studies have shown it raises blood sugar levels.
Try pure honey, Raw Sugar, Organic Turbinado. There's also Palm and Coconut Sugar. Tons of options these days!
